History of GVMA

The Grenada Veterinary Medical Association was formed and incorporated under the Companies of Act 1994, on 19th March 1999. Founder members of the association were: Dr. Eugene Rennie, Dr. Linton Andrews, and Dr. Claude DeAllie. The formation of this organization was seen as a catalyst that would redefine a culture in which veterinarians will have a better place in animal and public health. It was in this respect and to better serve the needs of a country whose economy was based on agriculture and thus Grenada Veterinary Medical Association was given birth to.

In 2006, GVMA along with SGU successfully hosted the “24th Biennial Caribbean Veterinary Medical Association Conference” at Grenada.

In 2007, Dr. Banga designed a logo and website for GVMA which are pending for discussion and approval by the members.
